Dr Zoran Radnic

Veterinarian

Dr. Radnic graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Sarajevo in 1987. After completing his Masters of Science Degree, he spent several years working in the Marine Biology field. He worked in veterinary medicine in Calgary and Whitehorse before moving to Vancouver in 2000. Dr Radnic most recently spent two years as a lead veterinarian at the BC SPCA Vancouver Animal Hospital, before acquiring Kingsway Veterinary Clinic in 2020.
When it comes to his personal life and his profession, Dr. Radnic is passionate about high quality pet care – he always recommends the very best for all of his furry friends. He treats all of our patients like they are his own which means every single pet that walks through our door is given the ultimate in medical care and compassion.
Dr. Radnic shares his home with his wife Dragana and their son, Nikola, as well as their 2 cats, Oscar and Zeus, and their dog Lily. When he’s not working, Dr. Radnic enjoys cheering on our Vancouver Canucks, playing basketball and skiing.

Dr Paul Koit

Veterinarian

Dr Koit graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1974 and acquired Kingsway Veterinary Clinic in 1978. He has practiced in this same location since then and has established a reputation as a caring and experienced veterinarian. Dr Koit transferred ownership of Kingsway Vet Clinic to Dr Radnic in 2020 and plans to retire in the coming months.
Dr Koit shares his life with his two cats and a number of koi fish. In his spare time, he enjoys playing squash, pickleball, and practicing yoga.

Dr Biljana Grubac

Veterinarian

Dr Biljana Grubac completed her degree at the University of Sarajevo and has more than 20 years of experience working in the field of small animal veterinary medicine. Dr. Grubac has passion for surgery with a special interest in dentistry. Dr Grubac has worked in a number of hospitals throughout Vancouver where she gained a reputation of a dedicated, compassionate doctor. When not working Dr. Grubac enjoys spending time with her family.

Dr Hayk Hakoban

Veterinarian

Dr Hakoban graduated with honors from the Agricultural Academy of Armenia ,Faculty of Veterinary medicine in 2001. As a veterinarian in Armenia, he worked as a mixed practice vet and has extensive experience in surgery, therapy and nutrition. He has practiced veterinary medicine in Canada since 2016. In his spare time, Dr Hakoban enjoys driving his car and bike, spending time with friends, cooking and experiencing new cuisines.

David Ivan Avila

Veterinary Intern

David earned his veterinary degree from University of Guadalajara in 2014. He moved to Canada in 2017 and is currently in the process of obtaining his licence to practice medicine in Canada and plans on specializing in radiology in future. Before moving to Canada from Mexico, David operated his own veterinary practice and worked as a professor at University of Cuauhtémoc. When not working, David loves to listen to music, and spend time in nature hiking, swimming and climbing.

Mizuho Uenaka

Veterinary Technician

Uenaka holds a Bachelor Degree in Agriculture as well as a diploma in Veterinary Technology. She has a wealth of experience working with small animals, as well as horses and wildlife. Besides being a Registered Veterinary Technician, Uenaka has a strong interest in dog training. She is committed to life-long learning and is always seeking to further her skills and knowledge. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, singing, and baking.

Sarah Troy

Veterinary Assistant

Sarah earned a degree in Business Management in her hometown of Dublin, Ireland before realizing she had to follow her passion for animals. She returned to college to study Animal Health and received an overall distinction certificate in 2018. Sarah has worked in retail management and dog grooming before joining us at Kingsway Vet. In coming years, Sarah is looking forward to becoming a Canadian citizen and continuing her education to become a Veterinary Technician. Sarah shares her life with her border terrier dog named Izzy. She is a huge live music fan and a foodie.

Christine Chen

Veterinary Assistant

Christine earned a Bachelor Degree in Animal Applied Biology, Food and Science Division from UBC in 2015 and earned her Veterinary Assistant Diploma in 2018 from Granville College. Christine loves her current career as a veterinary assistant and feels fulfilled by helping animals live healthy and playful lives. She enjoys curling up on a couch with a great cup of coffee and her 15-year old chihuahua.

Ginger Hsu

Veterinary Assistant

Before joining our team, Ginger worked as a Visual Effect Compositing Artist working in the VFX Industry. Ginger is passionate about animal welfare and volunteers at local shelters. She is currently studying to become a Veterinary Technician. Ginger shares her life with two dogs, Goldie and Niu Niu.

Yovela Wang

Veterinary Assistant

Yovela recently graduated from UBC Master’s of Science program. She has spent nearly ten years researching fish and her most recent research interests are infectious diseases on Pacific salmon and Pacific salmon management. After graduating from her master’s degree, instead of entering a PhD program, Yovela decided to become a different kind of “doctor” and help more than just fish! Currently,she is preparing to become a veterinarian. She enjoys working with animals very much, no matter whether they live on land or in the water. Yovela shares her life with two fluffy and affectionate Ragdoll cat boys, Jackson and Romeo.In her spare time, Yovela is learning Japanese and French.

Chelsea Wonsiak

Veterinary Assistant

Chelsea earned her Veterinary Assistant Diploma from Granville College in 2019. Working with animals has been her life-long dream. Chelsea loves forming lifelong relationships with our patients, and watching them grow into healthy and happy animals who are able to live their best life. She shares her life with two cats, Oliver and Bob and is planning on adding a dog to the family in the next couple of years. When not working, Chelsea enjoys hiking, riding her bike, or spending time at the beach.
